Push a needle tool through the centre hole to mark the middle of your circle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eAttach the arm.\u003c\/strong\u003e Slide the radial arm onto the centre disc, over the pin.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eSet your radius.\u003c\/strong\u003e Line up the hole on the arm that matches your size. The numbers are guides, so you can repeat the same radius on every piece.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eTrace the circle.\u003c\/strong\u003e Put a pin tool through the hole in the arm and press down lightly on the centre disc. Keep even downward pressure and turn the arm all the way around to cut or scribe a clean circle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eRemove the excess.\u003c\/strong\u003e Lift the compass and pull away the scrap clay, leaving a uniform circle ready for plates, bases, or hand-building.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003ch3 dir=\"ltr\"\u003eMarking Degrees\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003col dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eAlign the triangle.\u003c\/strong\u003e Line up the triangle on the end of the arm, the end that sits on the disc, with a notch on the disc at the degree you want. Because the notches are fixed, you can come back to the same degrees on every piece.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMark the edge.\u003c\/strong\u003e Push a pin tool through one of the markers on the arm where it lines up with your chosen angle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDraw the line.\u003c\/strong\u003e Remove the disc and the arm. Use a rule to draw a line from the centre hole to the mark you just made.
