(18+) Cup Workshop

In this workshop, you’ll make 1 ceramic cup by hand while learning a few simple handbuilding techniques along the way. You’ll be guided through shaping, refining, and adding your own details, so you can create something functional, decorative, or a bit of both.

Customize your piece with textures, stamps, carving, handles, decorative edges, and more. No pottery experience is needed, we’ll guide you through the process from start to finish.

Please note: This class focuses on handbuilding techniques only. Wheel throwing is not included.

• Clay
• Glazes (to be done at a later date)
• All firings
• Access to studio tools and equipment

Want to glaze it yourself?

At the end of your workshop, you can choose to have us glaze your piece for you, or come back and glaze it yourself! If you’d like to glaze your own piece, you’ll receive a discounted Glazing Clay Club session so you can come back once your piece has been bisque fired and add the finishing touches yourself.

You don’t need to decide ahead of time — we’ll go over your options during class.

Glazing will occur AT LEAST 2 weeks after the initial workshop.

Studio Policies

• To cancel this package, you must give at least 72 hours notice, otherwise it will be subject to cancellation fees
• Cracking, warping, glaze flaws, and breakage can happen as part of the ceramic process, and the studio is not responsible for damaged or unsuccessful pieces
• By signing up, you agree that photos or videos of you and your work may be used for promotional purposes while you are in the studio
