By downloading and printing locally, you can avoid international shipping costs, customs delays, and tariffs. Print the files at home, through a local maker space, or by sending them to a local 3D-printing service.

There are also plenty of people on marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace who offer “rental” time on their 3D printers. Many can print the files for you and help with setup, sizing, and print settings if you do not have your own printer.

This file only includes uppercase letters. Future editions will be made for lower case letters and different fonts.

Choosing Your File Format

The 3MF file is the recommended version, especially if you plan to resize or otherwise adjust the stamps. It keeps the Stamp and Label as separate objects, preserves their original placement, and makes it much easier to follow the scaling instructions in this guide.

The STL files are included for compatibility with printers, slicers, and print services that do not accept 3MF files. Because the Stamp and Label are separate STL files, they may need to be manually aligned after importing. Resizing or editing STL files can also make the labels harder to read, shift their placement, or cause small details to be lost.

I do not recommend using the STL files if you plan to make adjustments. For the easiest setup, cleanest labels, and best-fitting interlocking stamps, use the 3MF file whenever possible.

Print sizing

The files are designed to work well at their original size using a standard 0.4 mm nozzle.

• 100% scale: the largest size shown in the images
• Above 100% scale: The pieces may connect a little more loosely as they get larger, so test-print a few characters before printing the full set.
• 50%–100% scale: Works well with a 0.4 mm nozzle, depending on your printer tuning.
• Below 50% scale: A 0.2 mm nozzle is recommended for cleaner lettering and more reliable connections. 0.4 mm nozzle can be used, but the labels on the top of the stamp may be a bit muddled, though still clear enough to understand.

One download can be scaled to create multiple stamp sizes, from small maker’s-mark lettering to larger stamps for plates, signs, and slab work.

Print recommendations

• Print with supports enabled, including support for small overhangs.
• A 0.4 mm nozzle is recommended for standard and larger sizes.
• Use a 0.2 mm nozzle for very small stamps or anything scaled below 50%.
• Print a small test set first to confirm fit and adjust your printer settings if needed.

• When separating connected stamps, pull from the outer stamp bodies rather than the raised letter/number pop-outs. The pop-outs are more delicate and can break off if used to pull the stamps apart.
