Oval Plate Press

Create clean, consistent handbuilt plates with this 2-piece 3D printed press mold. Designed for slab building, this mold includes an outer frame to cut your shape and an inner press piece to help form a shallow raised edge.

It’s a simple, beginner-friendly way to make repeatable forms without needing a pottery wheel. Use it to create side plates, trinket dishes, dessert plates, catchalls, small serving pieces, or whatever else you dream up.

To use, roll out a slab of clay, cut your shape using the outer frame, place the slab on a piece of foam, cover with plastic and then press the inner piece into the clay to lift and shape the rim. The foam helps the clay move gently into shape while keeping the form smooth and even.

Each mold is 3D printed, so slight layer lines or small surface variations may be visible. These do not affect the function of the mold.

Final plate size may vary depending on your clay body, slab thickness, forming method, and firing shrinkage.

Physical 3D printed molds follow our standard return policy. We accept returns on physical products within 30 days of purchase.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and undamaged, returned in its original packaging, and proof of purchase is required.

For online orders, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Customers may also return purchases in person at the studio to avoid return shipping costs.

Once the item is received and inspected, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.
