Sizes

Every size can draw circles from a 20mm radius up, in 5mm steps. This product includes all 3!

  • Small: up to 85mm radius
  • Medium: up to 165mm radius
  • Large: up to 275mm radius

How to Use

  1. Roll out your clay. Roll an even slab on your canvas, mat, or board.
  2. Place the centre disc. Set the disc with the degree marks down on the clay. Push a needle tool through the centre hole to mark the middle of your circle.
  3. Attach the arm. Slide the radial arm onto the centre disc, over the pin.
  4. Set your radius. Line up the hole on the arm that matches your size. The numbers are guides, so you can repeat the same radius on every piece.
  5. Trace the circle. Put a pin tool through the hole in the arm and press down lightly on the centre disc. Keep even downward pressure and turn the arm all the way around to cut or scribe a clean circle.
  6. Remove the excess. Lift the compass and pull away the scrap clay, leaving a uniform circle ready for plates, bases, or hand-building.

Marking Degrees

  1. Align the triangle. Line up the triangle on the end of the arm, the end that sits on the disc, with a notch on the disc at the degree you want. Because the notches are fixed, you can come back to the same degrees on every piece.
  2. Mark the edge. Push a pin tool through one of the markers on the arm where it lines up with your chosen angle.
  3. Draw the line. Remove the disc and the arm. Use a rule to draw a line from the centre hole to the mark you just made. Repeat for each angle you need.

Physical or Digital

This design is available as both a physical 3D printed mold and a digital download. Digital rollers can be sold as individual designs. Please make sure you select the correct option before purchasing.

Each roller is 3D printed, so slight layer lines or minor surface variations are normal and do not affect performance.

If purchasing the digital version, your files will be emailed automatically after checkout.
